What does Queen Latifah actually do these days? Or rather, what doesn't she do? In the past few years she's hosted the BET Awards, the Grammys and erm, Michael Jackson's memorial service; starred in The Secret Life of Bees and Hairspray; become a Covergirl model; written Ladies First: Revelations of a Strong Woman (of course)—oh, and made a record, 2009's Persona, a glossy hip-hop/R&B confection that features contributions from Dr. Dre and Busta Rhymes. She heads up tonight's Martin Luther King Jr. free-fest, with sterling support from hit-making gospel duo Mary Mary, the powerfully lunged sisters behind the single "Shackles (Praise You)." Beyoncé et al., take note.
