Half a century after Bob Fosse's hit Broadway staging of Stephen Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson's beloved antihero's-journey musical Pippin, nearly all of the surviving original cast members reunite to make some more magic: John Rubinstein (Pippin), Leland Palmer (Fastrada), Will D. McMillan (Theo standby) and ensemble dancers Candy Brown, Cheryl Clark, Gene Foote, Jennifer Nairn-Smith and Pamela Sousa. The original Pippin standby, Walter Willison, directs this evening of memories and song, which is music-directed by Michael Lavine. Joining the original cast members are Joy Franz (who played Catherine later in the run) and nightclub mainstay Aaron Lee Battle (filling in for the absent Ben Vereen).
