Peter Apfelbaum's NY Hieroglyphics

Few contemporary jazzers have assimilated Don Cherry's globalist agenda better than Berkeley, CA–born saxophonist Peter Apfelbaum, whose big band, the Hieroglyphics Ensemble, backed the trumpeter on 1990's Multikulti. Apfelbaum has taken the multifarious grooves even further with the band's New York incarnation.
