Paul De Jong

Formerly half of the Books—the now defunct experimental NYC duo responsible for brilliant sonic collages of found sounds, acoustic folk and electronic music—De Jong presents his 2015 debut "If" on cello, guitar, bass and laptop with accompanying visuals. The solo material retains the Books' avant-garde spirit, full of abstract vocal samples and poignant orchestral flourishes, but veers back on the electronic elements in favor of stringed instrumentation.
