Both leading figures in the indie rock scene, Allison Crutchfield helms punk crew Swearin' while her identical twin sister Katie peddles worldweary folk-rock as Waxahatchee. Before the genesis of either of those projects, though, was P.S. Eliot, the duo's long-disbanded indie rock project. Catch the sisters as they return to their feminist pop punk roots. In the opening sets, young band Aye Nako—a sharply political antiracist, anticapitalist voice in the local DIY scene—punches up with tinges of pop-punk and hardcore while Montreal standouts Ought craft punkish, homespun indie rock with ticking-time-bomb urgency and arty impulses.
