Odean Pope Saxophone Choir

It's a major occasion any time South Carolina–born, Philly-based saxophonist Odean Pope blows into town with his mighty wind ensemble, the Saxophone Choir. A seasoned Coltrane acolyte who cut his teeth in Max Roach's band, Pope welcomes guest saxophonists James Carter (May 14, 15) and Ravi Coltrane (May 16, 17).
