Doll-obsessed, gun-collecting singer-songwriter Dollanganger piqued the interest of indie royalty Claire Boucher aka Grimes in 2015 with her studio debut Natural Born Losers—so much so that Boucher started an entire artist co-op solely to release the album. Carried by her falsetto voice, Dollanganger's nebulous, drifting ballads seethe with grit and longing in an effervescent haze.
