Newman Taylor Baker

Among the subtlest and most expressive percussionists in the contemporary jazz avant-garde, Newman Taylor Baker also reveals himself to be a masterful musical storyteller on Drum Suite Life, a new Innova CD devoted to his original compositions for "singin’ drums," a seven-pitch tuned drum set. Baker plays solo at 8pm, and works with pianist Andrew Bemkey at 10pm.
