Pianist Melford, a crafty original whose playing is filled with muscle, brains and poetic spark, performs with her quintet Snowy Egret, featured her 2015 album of the same. Guitarist Liberty Ellman, cornetist Ron Miles, bassist Stomu Takeishi and drummer Tyshawn Sorey join Melford for this six-night run.
