Musical Ecologies: Antenes (Lori Napoleon)

The monthly Musical Ecologies series, which invites artists to perform works accompanied by a 30-minute talk, returns to the Old Stone House in Park Slope. The special guest this Thursday is a Brooklyn producer and DJ whom we're already familiar with from gigs at Bossa Nova Civic Club, Black Flamingo, Good Room and Sustain-Release. Featured in the documentary I Dream of Wires, Antenes uses self-built sequencers and synths—which she'll be using in this special solo performance—in all of her tracks, creating one-of-a-kind unique sounds augmented in her vinyl-only sets of “acid-laced techno, shimmering electro and beyond.”
