Dominican pianist Michel Camilo spent much of the '90s dipping into classical waters, but now he's back to offering the quicksilver Afro-Cuban runs and choppy, meter-challenging phrases that made him a star. For his latest return to the Blue Note, he's introducing a prodigious big band packed with NYC luminaries.
