Much of this year's Momenta Festival tends toward the dark, but tonight's program promises to be a bit more pensive, if not altogether light. George Crumb can usually be counted on for some hellish fury, but his Sonata for Solo Cello is relatively somber. Debussy's sole string quartet, an impressionistic masterpiece, will help to clear the air. And the piece by Michael Small that gives the evening its name will receive its NYC premiere. BrewHeister will be on hand each night to provide a beer that matches the program.
