Memory Ground

Head to the top of Green-Wood’s Battle Hill, which has sweeping views of Lower Manhattan, to remember the lives lost and those forever changed by 9/11. Saxophonist Noa Even and the Desdemona Ensemble will perform compositions by Mississippi-born and NYC-based composer Buck McDaniel. Bring your own chair or blanket for the 45-minute performance (there are three between noon and 2pm) and be prepared to walk 10 minutes from the cemetery's main entrance over hilly terrain.
