Melba Moore

Moore’s multioctave turns in the musicals Hair and Purlie made her a star back in the day, and helped change the sound of Broadway singing. Since then she has persevered in the genre of lite soul, with mixed results. In her nightclub set, she leafs through the Great American Songbook and revisits R&B favorites.
