Maximum the Hormone + Unlocking the Truth

Japanese nu-metal gang Maximum the Hormone sounds like it’s been binging on System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers and other funk-rock relics, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Unlocking the Truth is a crushing trio made of middle-school–age Flatbush kids known for preaching the slam-metal gospel via DIY busking gigs in Times Square. The group signed with Sony Music in July.
