Violinist Mark Peskanov, violist Vladimir Mendelssohn, cellist Edward Arron and pianist Jeewon Park present a program of music spanning central Europe. For his Piano Trio No. 39, the Austrian composer Joseph Haydn borrowed from Hungarian melodies (earning it the politically and geographically challenged alternative title, Gypsy) and the Czech composer Antonin Dvořák referenced Ukranian dumky ballads in his fourth piano trio. Mozart’s first piano quartet rounds out the program.
