But Martyrdoom, which launches its fourth annual installment this year, is emerging as a respectable contender, thanks to an impressive crop of international talent. The 2015 fest—stretching across five jam-packed nights—includes Sweden's ultra desolate Necrophobic (November 6), Italy's bestial Mortuary Drape (November 8, 9) and Ireland's epic, esoteric Malthusian (November 10).
