Marie Incontrera and the Eco-Music Big Band + Warren Smith Ensemble

Composer Marie Incontrera and other friends and associates of Fred Ho—the politically minded saxist, composer and all-around jazz dynamo, who died of cancer in April—revive Ho's signature group, the Eco-Music Big Band, as part of the Interpretations series. Also on tap is a new quartet composition by veteran percussionist Warren Smith, whose wide-ranging career has led him from sessions with Aretha Franklin and Van Morrison to gigs with avant-jazz masters such as Sam Rivers and David S. Ware.
