“Frick Park Market,” the latest single by 19-year-old MC Mac Miller, racked up more than 4 million YouTube hits in a week, confirming the Pittsburgh native as the latest in a recent surge of workaholic teenage rappers bent on dominating the world, one Twitter follower at a time. Miller dropped his first mixtape at 15 and has since shared the stage with Young Jeezy and De La Soul, toured with labelmate Wiz Khalifa, sold out shows throughout Europe and was named part of XXL’s 2011 Freshman Class—and all of this from an artist who graduated high school just last year. Opening for Miller is erstwhile Odd Future member Casey Veggies, another indie artist and recent high-school grad (MTV reported from his commencement in June).
