Germany's Wuppertal Opera sweeps into Gotham, bringing with it the third Salvatore Sciarrino opera to be produced by the Lincoln Center Festival. Based on Kafka's The Trial, Sciarrino's work sets the same story of a man seeking justice in a justice-less state three ways with three vocal pairings. Ekkehard Abele and Gerson Sales trade off as Man 1 and Man 2; Michael Tews sings the Gatekeeper. Hilary Griffiths conducts the Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal.
