Kresten Osgood, a Danish drummer with a precise, propulsive style and a wide-open aesthetic sense, boasts a seriously impressive CV, including work with outside-the-box jazz titans Sam Rivers, Paul Bley and Yusef Lateef. Here, he plays a pair of shows featuring a wide assortment of players. The Mar 24 bill features a duo with trumpeter Herb Robertson, followed by a quartet with Robertson, saxist Michael Blake and bassist Max Johnson; the Mar 26 gig features a duo with guitarist Martin Philadelphy, and a double-drum quintet with violist Mat Maneri, pianist Eliot Cardinaux, bassist Ed Schuller and drummer Randy Peterson.
