Julie Benko

Julie Benko was Broadway's biggest success story of 2022 when she filled in for Beanie Feldstein in the troubled revival of Funny Girl and earned a passionate cult following of her own. (She still performs the role of Fanny Brice every Thursday to give Lea Michele a rest.) In this Mardi Gras set at Birdland, she and her band, Euphonic Gumbo—which includes her husband, pianist Jason Yeager—perform Big Easy favorites like “When the Saints Go Marching In” as well as songs from Benko's debut album and her recent follow-up with Yeager, Hand in Hand.
