As part of its larger tribute to Blue Note Records, Jazz at Lincoln Center pays homage to the late, great tenor titan Joe Henderson, who made five albums for Blue Note during the ’60s and played on nearly 30 more, then returned to the imprint for his career-rejuvenating The State of the Tenor discs in 1985. Chris Potter takes the starring sax role, fronting a band that includes Henderson pianist Renee Rosnes.
