If you’re perplexed by Air Supply, the second Erstwhile release by sound artists Graham Lambkin and Jason Lescalleet, don’t be embarrassed to admit it—look at the glowing reviews and Best of 2010 mentions the disc snagged last year, and it quickly becomes evident that even those who love it aren’t entirely sure how to explain it. Fusing vaguely familiar sounds, tactile sensations and a pervasive, bared-nerve tension, Lambkin and Lescalleet conjure aural vistas as disorienting as a David Lynch film watched while blindfolded. Whether what they'll do here will bear any resemblance to their disc is another matter; best to show up with an open mind and open ears.
