The band that practically invented the notion of "alternative rock" is back with The Great Escape Artist, a spaced-out record created with TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek on bass guitar. It's a savvy move on frontman Perry Farrell's part, garnering a slice of neo-indie cred for a band that includes Dave Navarro, a rock crocodile who gets taken about as seriously as Steven Tyler. Don't come out just for Sitek, though—he was with the band only to record the album.
