Helmet + Intronaut + Mantyhose

Once among the premier heavy rock bands on the planet (cue up Betty or Meantime again if you need convincing), Helmet has sunk to depressing lows in its latter-day incarnation (really nothing more than a vanity vehicle for frontman Page Hamilton). The band's new Seeing Eye Dog—a moderately intense yet utterly lifeless release—continues this unfortunate trend. Expect atmospheric prog-thrashers Intronaut to make the most of their opening slot.
