Gold Dime

This post-punk outift is the brainchild of Andrya Ambro, a blazing drummer best known as half of acclaimed noise rock duo Talk Normal. Following the latter's breakup, she took up guitar to expand her songwriting horizons—clearly to great effect. Ambro has crafted a bewitchingly visceral, angular style of rock: screeching siren-esque guitars and shout-sung vocals, all propelled by pounding, nigh-primeval drums. The band takes the stage this week in Boerum Hill as part of Roulette Intermedium's diverse yearly gathering, Mixology Fest.
