George Wein and the Newport All-Stars

Well before he became one of the most powerful impresarios in jazz history, George Wein was an ivory-tickling swinger. Allowing others to produce the shows this season, he gets back to his roots in the company of some serious heavy hitters: clarinetist Ken Peplowski, saxophonist Lew Tabackin, guitarist Howard Alden, bassist George Mraz and drummer Lewis Nash.
