Gary Jules

Dainty-mouthed folkie Gary Jules became a star in the U.K., where his cover of Tears for Fears' "Mad World" (from Donnie Darko) debuted at No. 1 in 2003. He can come too close to soft rock's border, but has moments nicely reminiscent of Cat Stevens; you'll find his tunes in constant rotation on Grey's Anatomy, CSI, etc.
