Garbage

It had been seven years since Garbage released an album, but you wouldn't have known it from Shirley Manson & Co.'s 2012 LP, Not Your Kind of People, which oozed the type of ’90s comfort food that devotees of the Madison alt-rock institution have come to expect. Their newest album (and second independent release), Strange Little Birds, maintains those hallmarks but veers into an ominous, cinematic atmosphere.
