Terrific and prolific San Francisco garage rocker Ty Segall follows a timeworn formula, in which welcoming pop melodies come layered in antisocial fuzz, and at this LES show, he presents his new band, the aptly named Fuzz, which has him paired up with old pal Charlie Moonheart. The Men feature in the opening slot, a Brooklyn crew that swaps singers and shuffles styles at will, rambling between loping country-rock, fuzz-blasted melodic punk and noisy psychedelic sprawl.
