Foxygen + Sunflower Bean + Purr

Cali psych-pop duo Foxygen (a gentler, cuddlier version of MGMT) returned last year with a fresh single (the jangly "Follow The Leader"), which boasts backing arrangements by a 40-piece orchestra that apparently appears on every song on the band's upcoming, Hang. Like its previous albums, the retro revivalists sound here like a pleasant mix of Belle and Sebastian ’90s pop and sunny ’70s folk-rock.
