Firewater features winningly sardonic frontman Tod Ashley (formerly of NYC industrial-punk heavyweights Cop Shoot Cop). The band's new one, International Orange!, finds the now Istanbul-based Ashley continuing to refine the globalist-punk M.O. he established on Firewater's 1996 debut; as with the best of Ashley's past work, lead single "A Little Revolution" sounds simultaneously world-weary and exuberant. Also on the bill is Brooklyn duo Hank and Cupcakes, whose funky indie-pop packs an impressive oomph.
