Experiments in Opera

With the uncertain future of City Opera's annual Vox festival, NYC's experimental opera scene is scrambling to find alternative outlets for its overflowing creativity. This festival, initiated by the composers and performers themselves, jump-starts the process with four quirky new works by composers Matthew Welch, Jason Cady, George Aperghis and Aaron Siegel.
