Endangered Blood + Dan Weiss Trio featuring Jacob Sacks and Eivind Opsvik

While the name Endangered Blood might not ring any bells, the players involved should be familiar to any fan of forward-thinking NYC jazz: reedists Chris Speed and Oscar Noriega, bassist Trevor Dunn and drummer Jim Black. Tonight the quartet celebrates its good-natured yet appealingly turbulent self-titled debut on the Skirl label. Also on the bill is drummer-composer Dan Weiss's ever-compelling piano trio.
