Dispirit

John Gossard, formerly of the influential San Francisco black-metal band Weakling, now plays grandly grim, structurally ambitious doom metal with Dispirit. The latter group's been around since 2000, but its two Saint Vitus shows are its first-ever East Coast gigs. Each should be a major underground event. Vorde, Theologian and Anicon open Mar 20; Occultation, Ominous Resurrection and Summons set the stage on Mar 22.
