Deradoorian + L'Rain

Perhaps its her history as a prolific collaborator—brief one-offs with Vampire Weekend and Charlie XCX and longer stints with Dirty Projectors and Avey Tare—that leads Angel Deradoorian to collect such disparate sounds into her solo work. Seraphic church organ, plucked dulcimer, psych rock fuzz and more all swirl into a dreamy mix held together by virtuostic looped vocal polyphony. Here she plays a free afternoon matinee with similarly varied artist L'Rain, who brews totally singular, atmospheric, soul-inflected soundscapes.
