There's no Ween reunion in sight, so we'll have to make do with respective solo projects from the beloved odd-rock cult faves' two members: Aaron "Gene Ween" Freeman's gripping psych-pop vehicle, Freeman, and Mickey "Dean Ween" Melchiondo's eponymous bar band, headlining the Bowl tonight. Melchiondo, one of our most formidable post-psych shredders, was the member most responsible for lending Ween its patented raucous thrust, so you can safely expect a set filled with wholesome bombast, the odd tender interlude and at least a handful of old favorites. Local country mainstay Jack Grace sets the stage.
