San Francisco musical storyteller David Karsten Daniels teams up with Richmond, VA, avant-jazz combo Fight the Big Bull to play songs from I Mean to Live Here Still, a new collaborative album of Henry David Thoreau settings (!) on Fat Cat. FtBB also plays a set of its own rightly raucous jazz charts. Opening is quirky local coed indie-pop combo the Lisps, which tempers its considerable cleverness with a sense of vulnerable immediacy.
