One of the the most exuberant proponents of the Neo-Romantic movement in music, composer David Del Tredici turns 75 this year. To celebrate this milestone, trombonist Felix Del Tredici (the composer's nephew), the Orion String Quartet and the Fireworks Ensemble perform some of his recent works. Pieces include the world premiere of Felix Variations; the New York premiere of String Quartet No. 2; and the electric song cycle A Field Manual, set to some scandalous poetry by Edward Field.
