Dave Douglas Quintet

Leading trumpet progressive Dave Douglas keeps his schedule packed with collaborations and side projects—lately, he's been working with Joe Lovano in the band Sound Prints and in a duo with pianist Uri Caine, heard on the beautifully spare Present Joys. But he always reserves time for his working combo: These days, that's a lithe quintet staffed with young virtuosos Jon Irabagon, Matt Mitchell, Linda Oh and Rudy Royston, all on hand for this run to celebrate the new LP Brazen Heart.
