WBLS presents its Salute to Hip-Hop at B.B.'s, tonight featuring Das EFX, the Brooklyn hip-hop tandem of MCs Skoob and Dre, which came to prominence in the early ’90s, offsetting a thugged-out image with a penchant for classic soul samples and a fondness for the subsequently ubiquitous -iggity suffix. You'll also hear from feel-good party crew Black Sheep, plus Kurtis Blow, perhaps the genre's first true solo rap star.
