For years, the genial and robust-voiced Glenn and his singing partner Jo Lynn Burks have periodically performed a tribute to the soundtrack from Robert Altman's 1975 film, Nashville. In this set, he continues his Alt-cabaret streak with a new costar—the fearless, witty and beguiling singer-songwriter McKay—and the score for a different film: Harry Nilsson's songs from Altman's widely disparaged 1980 movie Popeye, including the haunting neostandard "He Needs Me." Expect McKay to add a little vinegar to her Olive Oyl.
