Darcy James Argue's Secret Society

At long last, composer and bandleader Darcy James Argue has produced a second album with his big band, Secret Society. Based on a BAM stage production, the result, Brooklyn Babylon, was well worth the wait, seamlessly melding modern jazz energy, post-rock groove and contemporary-classical rigor into a sound that moves the big-band template well into the future.
