Craig Leon has one hell of a CV. In addition to producing or coproducing the self-titled debut LPs by Blondie, Suicide and the Ramones (wow…) in 1976 and ’77, he also issued an album of charmingly offbeat electronic works, Nommos, via John Fahey's Takoma label in 1980. It's fitting that this LP and its 1982 companion piece, Visiting, are being reissued in June by the expertly curated RVNG Intl. label. At tonight's RVNG, Wordless Music and Le Poisson Rouge coproduction, Leon performs Nommos live with help from the American Contemporary Music Ensemble.
