Countdown 2013: John Coltrane Festival

Like John Coltrane, tenor saxophonist George Coleman served a stint in Miles Davis's quintet and, as a result, came out a stronger bandleader. He's playing tonight with longtime piano colleague Harold Mabern and drummer Al Foster, a Davis alum of more recent vintage; bassist Doug Weiss completes the band.
