Four decades on from practically founding electric-jazz, Corea continues to innovate with his distinctive blend of fusionist technical flash and subtle introspection. This week, he's joining forces with one of his favorite musical companions, studio drumming icon Steve Gadd, with whom he's released landmark records like The Leprechaun and My Spanish Hearts. (At the very least, you've probably heard Gadd's unmistakeable touch on such hits as Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" and Steely Dan's "Hey Nineteen"). Supporting the legendary duo are a quartet of young guns.
