Argentine rock star Charly Garcia has earned a rep as a living legend, due to his notoriously hefty ego and nearly 40-year influence on rock en español. The aging honcho has worn many hats: He formed iconic folk-pop combo Sui Generis, played in politically rebellious band Serú Girán in the late ’80s, attracted a cult following singing solo, conceived alter ego Casandra Lange—and those are just a few of his personas.
