Charles Davis Quartet

You may not always know where textbook jazz journeyman Charles Davis will turn up—or with which ax, as he's adept on alto, tenor and baritone saxes—but his presence tends to indicate that all-stars are in proximity. His ensemble promises the kind of top-shelf music you'd expect from someone who made history with talents as disparate as Sun Ra, Kenny Dorham and Abdullah Ibrahim.
