Mark Shapiro leads his chorus in a program titled "Birds," so called because it brings the U.S. premiere of English composer Kenneth Leighton's cantata of the same name. Works by Wallingford Riegger, Vic Nees and Erol Gurol complete the program; keep an eye on soloist Julia Bullock, a wonderful young soprano who's clearly going places.
